This project in North Oxford was for a returning client who needed our help with their recently refurbished home. The brief was to create a smart but comfortable aesthetic, where classic furniture can come together with contemporary pieces and old and new can combine seamlessly.
We set the tone by specifying shades of Little Greene’s French Grey throughout. In the Sitting Room we added texture with Mark Alexander linen curtains, wool upholstery and Manuel Canovas embroidered cushions all grounded by a large bespoke linen bordered wool rug. The grey palette is accented with rich teal resulting in a timeless, subtle, joyful space that is wholly livable.
Upstairs the Master Bedroom has a feminine feel, where lined and interlined curtains in Lewis & Wood’s delicate print in myrtle pink are harmonized with rustic wood finishes and a softly embroidered bed valance - it’s understated and effortlessly beautiful design completed on time and within budget.
