This five bedroom house lies in a desirable location within striking distance of all that Henley has to offer but in a semi–rural setting, it’s owners – our clients – are incredibly well travelled and wanted their home to act as a sanctuary in between their trips to far-flung corners of the world.
An individual new build, the house is composed of bright and spacious rooms, but it was in need of an injection of character, we redecorated throughout in calming tones of French Grey and introduced texture in the form of grasspaper wallcoverings and wool loop pile carpets.
In the kitchen, oversized Triptych Orb Glass pendant lights in hand blown coloured glass form a new flamboyant focal point.
The sitting room is transformed with a colour palette of teal with warm greys, the addition of a beautiful bespoke corner sofa and new lined and interlined curtains in a gorgeous soft linen print.
The Master Bedroom is now an enviable soft and serene space which unites mid-century furniture and statement wall lights, all highlighted with accents of blush pink.
On the contemporary staircase a flat weave runner in soft yellow leads down to the basement cinema where an earthy colour palette and tactile, rustic textures create a cocoon where our clients own remarkable wildlife photography can be exhibited on the walls and the big screen. Spend some time down here and you could be forgiven for wondering ‘’Are we in Henley or are we in Africa?!’’.
This beautiful property is a Grade II listed building positioned within enviable grounds and situated in a charming Oxfordshire Village.
