Nothing makes us happier once a project has come to its fruition and we are able to stand back and view it in its entirety. Last week we were able to do just that through the lens, as we had the pleasure of collaborating in a photoshoot of one of our recent successfully concluded projects. We found ourselves obsessing about the details, the finishing touches and final flourishes that really bring an interior to life.  Once the decorating is complete, curtains are hung, and furniture installed and in order to effectively...

We made it to March and Spring is finally on the horizon - Daffodils are popping up outside our showroom, the sun is (occasionally) peeking out from beneath fluffy white clouds, and the weekend even saw us venturing outside sans coats, yes, suddenly everything seems a bit brighter and a bit more…colourful. And when colour is called for you need look no further than French fabric house Manuel Canovas! Famed for their vivid palette, and quirky prints, perusing the designs is like taking the ultimate spring break to an exotic location...

The Stella Mannering Team love a good story, particularly a gripping drama or a beautiful Romance, so when Evitavonni made their entrance in our showroom to give us a sneak peek at their latest collection called ‘Story’ we were a more than willing audience. Inspired by the movie ‘Out Of Africa’ this collection sees a departure from their signature grey palette, and instead warm golds, deep merlots, soft pinks and emerald greens are used in perfect depiction of the epic African landscape. The textures are rich, the narrative woven into each...

‘’It’s freezing out there!’’ is a phrase that has been uttered by the Stella Mannering team copious times this week, we walk in -  hands gloved, shoulders huddled and eyes only peeking above thick wool scarves - and immediately race to the coffee machine in an attempt to defrost! In desperate need of finding some positivity in this cool climate, we are slightly obsessing about warm colours and toasty textures, so imagine our delight when our reps from De Le Cuona, arrived in the showroom this week with the new collection...

On a recent reccy to the Chelsea Barracks development on behalf of one of our returning clients, Stella came away marveling at their stunning show apartment, however the thing that really caught her attention was, believe it or not, the hinges on the internal doors - not even the smallest detail goes unnoticed by our keen eyed boss! And who was the purveyor of this striking architectural hardware? None other than Samuel Heath of course, so when our rep arrived at our showroom yesterday, armed with a protective case James Bond...

One of the best things about Christmas is the anticipation - the wait, the wonder, the build up to the big day, - Will it snow? Will the Turkey be cooked? Will everyone like their gifts?  And of course, the most important question of all….What will the Stella Mannering Christmas Window look like?? Here to lift your Christmas spirits is a little sneak peek, and be sure to pop by the Showroom this...

Given the current climate, the new collection from Pierre Frey is like a breath of fresh air, some warmth in the winter, or sunshine on a rainy day!  With ‘Maya’ we are transported to the colourful world of Central America, we journey across Mexico, Panama and Guatemala, all without leaving our chairs.  When you love fabric as much as we do this collection is hard to resist - unique designs in an abundance of hot and spicy tones - some so bright sunglasses are almost required! The inspiration behind it includes...
Here at Stella Mannering we have started 2016 as we mean to go on - herbal teas are being drunk, Yoga classes have been joined and dinners are strictly Superfoods only! We are feeling very virtuous one week into 2016 and this new regime required a new look for the showroom too.  Our love affair with Indigo continues with our latest arrivals, our furniture is back from our upholsterers with a brilliant make-over! Pierre Frey have been our inspiration, we chose their striking textured weave ‘Voyages Ocean’ to cover the footstool...

With Christmas just around the corner and a chill the air we are feeling the need to cozy up - but cozy up in style we must ….. Which calls for a little chalet chic in our Showroom this winter. Our new Christmas Windows have just been installed featuring faux fur throws, wool plaids and textured weaves in the colour palette of choice; intense indigo, comforting cream, warm chocolate brown, and gorgeous grey. Pattern is kept simple but effective - we are favoring oversized Checks and Alpine designs from Ralph Lauren...

Ahh it’s autumn once more, how we love these sunny days, coral sky mornings, and trees turning golden. Autumn is full of colour and texture and nothing epitomizes the season quite like the leaves falling. ‘’A Lavatory of boasting’’, this was the requirement of one of our clients recently, and we thought it was inspired, everyone should have a lavatory of boasting, the downstairs loo is the ideal place to be a bit quirky, a bit bold and a bit brave. This small space, where time spent is hopefully limited, enables one to take a few risks, we recommend trying daring paint colours, using fun or unusual wallpapers, decorating with walls full of framed photographs or if you have an award, prize or achievement you really...

This week we escaped the pouring rain for a day of design inspiration at Decorex. With over 400 exhibitors, it is the place to discover the most innovative and desired products from the design world. With the emphasis on luxury, we spent much of the day in awe of the brilliance and creativity on display, but for us, the most notable was the incredible lighting. We loved the understated elegance that ‘Ochre’ brought with their ‘Seed Cloud’ Chandeliers, their design ethos is to place equal importance on harmonious proportions, luxurious materials...

That’s it, summer is over and the kids are back to school! As the majority of the Stella Mannering team also go by the moniker of ‘Mummy’, we find ourselves currently surrounded by new stationary, notebooks and files! Alas, our own paperwork has taken a back seat over the holidays and so a home office reorganisation is on the agenda, but, before we bury our heads in the books, a new desk is called for. But not just any old desk, it must be a thing of beauty, a pleasure to...

Don’t panic we’re not talking about the book, or the film, just our favourite shades of one of our favourite colours!  Grey is an ideal colour to use in Interiors, it is solid and stable, creating a sense of calm and composure and relief from a chaotic world and its simplicity and timeless appeal make it an Interior trend worth investing in. Advocates of Little Greene’s ‘Grey’ palette, we particularly love ‘Scree’, ‘Urbane Grey’ and ‘Shallows’, use tonal greys on walls and woodwork to create a cohesive and contemporary look. Texture...

It’s the middle of August, we should be basking in sunshine whilst wearing tropical print bikinis, and instead, we’re looking out from our desks at grey skies whilst wearing our cardi’s!  But fear not, we have just taken a trip to the Caribbean…well, almost… after seeing the new collection from Matthew Williamson for Osborne & Little we certainly feel one step closer. In ‘Cubana’, Williamson conjures the glamour and excitement of pre-revolutionary Cuba; printed fabrics and wallpapers in a daring colour palette feature flamingos emerging from exotic foliage, leopards creeping through...

With the first Daffodils beginning to bloom, and the sun finally showing its face, our colour of the moment just has to be yellow! Yellow inspires original thought and inquisitiveness and is the best colour to create enthusiasm for life, so why wouldn’t you want it to feature in your home. Pair it with white or cream for a fresh, lively look or if you like to be daring and dramatic then team it with purple, or if you prefer your yellow to be toned down a touch then use it...

February can be a bit of a washout, Christmas is a long distant memory, we’ve given up on our New Year’s Resolutions, the weather is grey and dreary and Spring still feels like a lifetime away...until today. Today Spring arrived in our showroom in all its glory in the form of the new collection from Manuel Canovas, oh Manuel with this collection you are really spoiling us! Colours are bold and beautiful, textures are sumptuous and inviting, but the Prints, it’s all about the prints! We’re floating away into a Canovas...

With two of our team spending the first part of 2015 in sunny New Zealand, we thought we’d share with you some insights into the Interior world, done the Kiwi way. Benefiting from many months of sunshine, it’s no surprise that a key feature of New Zealand homes is glass, windows are numerous and vast, sometimes spanning double storeys, if there is a view to be had, (and with a country this beautiful there usually is), then they have it, and then some. Kiwi style is relaxed, informal, and welcoming, with...
